Tasawwur — Privacy Policy

Tasawwur is a study assistant you can use with an Apple account or without an account. This policy explains what stays on your device, what your account holds, and what is transmitted to provide cloud features and improve the app.

Your account (Sign in with Apple, optional)

Signing in is optional: you can skip it with «لاحقًا» (Not now) and use the app without an account. When you sign in with Apple, Apple gives us a stable identifier unique to our app, and your name and email address only if you choose to share them (you can hide your email, in which case we receive an Apple relay address). On our server (Cloudflare) we keep this identifier, the name and email if shared, your setup answers about your study stage and major, the app version and the date the account was created. We use them to tie your subscription to you on any device, to reach you when you ask for support, and to understand who uses the app. The identifier is sent to RevenueCat as your customer id for subscriptions, together with the email and name if shared. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.

Deleting your account: in the app, go to Settings › Your account › Delete account. Your account record is deleted from our server, your subscription is detached from the account in RevenueCat, and the device copy of the account is cleared. The subscription itself belongs to your App Store account and is cancelled in Apple's settings. You can also stop using your Apple Account with Tasawwur in Settings › Apple Account › Sign in with Apple.

Feedback and support

When you send feedback from the app we receive its type and text, your email if you enter one, your device model, OS and app version and language, and your account identifier and email if you are signed in. We keep it on our server and email it to the app's team to reply to you and improve the app. To have feedback you sent deleted, email us.

Data stored on your device

Your original files, notes, study progress and previous chats are stored locally on your device. You can delete them in the app or by deleting the app.

Content you choose to submit

After you consent, the app may transmit through a secure developer-operated proxy:

• questions and extracted study text to AI model providers through OpenRouter;
• audio to Speechmatics or the configured processor for transcription;
• selected photos and pages for analysis or checking your work.

This content is used to provide the feature you requested. It is not sold or used for advertising.

Analytics and diagnostics

The app uses Amplitude to measure sessions, screen views, app lifecycle events and interface interactions. Our first-party telemetry also sends technical events such as screen or feature names, a random installation identifier, device model, OS version and build number. These signals help us understand feature performance and diagnose problems. Analytics events do not include the text of your questions, your files or chat content.

We do not use this information for advertising tracking, sell it, or display advertising.

Sentry is included in the project but remains inactive while its service key is not configured. If it is enabled in a future release, this policy will be updated before that release to describe the crash and diagnostic data involved.

Purchases

Apple processes payments, and the app uses RevenueCat to verify subscription status and restore purchases. After you sign in, your purchase history in RevenueCat is linked to your account identifier. The developer does not receive your payment-card details.

Children

The app is intended for students generally and is not specifically directed to children under 13. Signing in with Apple is optional and does not require sharing your real name or email.

Your choices

You can decline cloud-AI processing and avoid features that transmit content. You can delete your materials and sessions from the app, and delete your account in Settings › Your account › Delete account. Contact us with questions or to delete any other data (feedback you sent, or analytics associated with the app's random installation identifier).
